20-21 January: Romax Technology presents a workshop at Wind Energy O&M Forum Europe in Hamburg, Germany


Romax Technology will be demonstrating how to enable predictive maintenance as part of a workshop taking place at Wind Energy O&M Forum Europe 20-21, January in Hamburg, Germany. 


With an increasing focus on cost reduction for the operations and maintenance of wind energy, European operators are turning to companies like Romax to reduce the cost of running turbine fleets.


Industry analysts state that a considerable level of turbine downtime can be attributed to failures within the gearbox and main bearings. Romax is tackling this issue head on through a combination of gearbox expertise and software simulation and predictive maintenance technologies aimed at extending asset life and scheduling maintenance before failures occur.

9 April: Romax shortlisted for 2015 WEU O&M Excellence Awards


Romax Technology has been announced as a finalist in the inaugural Wind Energy Update (WEU) O&M Excellence Awards in the Best Technology Innovation category.


The awards, in which the winners will be announced at the upcoming Wind Energy O&M Summit on the 14th of April in Dallas, Texas, brings together over 400 executives from the wind energy sector, celebrating excellence and achievement in the operations and maintenance of wind turbines over the previous year.

10-13 May: Delft University present at IEMDC 2015


Researchers at the Delft University will present a number of papers on their research into the Brushless DFIG at the International Electrical Machines and Drives Conference (IEMDC) which will be held from the 10-13 May 2015 in Idaho, USA.

3-5 June: University of Cambridge present at ISIE 2015


Salman Abdi, a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, will attend the IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE) 2015 which will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  He will present his paper titled “A New Stator Windings Design for Brushless Doubly Fed Machines”
